Plymouth City Council has issued a temporary prohibition of driving order affecting Tavistock Road as part of planned cable works. This order, enacted under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, will restrict vehicle access to certain parts of the road.
The specific restrictions include a prohibition on vehicles making a right-hand turn into Sendalls Way and the closure of the bus lane both inbound and outbound from Derriford Roundabout to 45 metres south of Sendalls Way. These measures will be enforced only when appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
The order is set to commence on Wednesday 10 December 2025 and will remain in effect for up to 18 months. However, the actual cable works are expected to take place over two nights from 10 December to 11 December between 7pm and 4am.
Residents and commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and seek alternative routes during these times to avoid disruptions. For further details or inquiries, Comtelecom LTD can be contacted at 07379382745.
