Devon County Council (DCC) has issued a public notice inviting expressions of interest for the use of a new community building currently under construction at March Close, South West Exeter. The site, located just off the A379, is part of a development that includes a doctor's surgery and is expected to be completed by late 2026, with availability for transfer in early 2027.
The community building will cover an area of 805 square metres and will require fitting out and furnishing at the expense of the occupiers after the transfer. The site will also feature parking and other common external areas shared with the doctor's surgery.
Organisations interested in using the building for community purposes are encouraged to submit their expressions of interest. These organisations must demonstrate their ability to fully utilise the space for its intended purpose at a later date.
Expressions of interest should be submitted to Megan Cross at Devon County Council, County Hall, Topsham Road, Exeter, Devon, EX2 4QD. Submissions must be received by no later than midday on January 14, 2026. Envelopes should be marked "Expression of Interest for SW Exeter Community Building".
Those who have any concerns or believe they may be adversely impacted by this development are encouraged to contact Devon County Council directly.
