South West Exeter Community Building Update

A new community building is currently under construction in South West Exeter at March Close, near the A379. This development is part of a larger project by Devon County Council (DCC), which also includes a doctor's surgery.

Construction Timeline and Details

The community centre is expected to be completed by late 2026, with availability for transfer anticipated in early 2027. The facility will cover an area of 805 square metres and will require fitting out and furnishing at the expense of the future occupiers. The site will include parking and shared external areas for both the community building and the doctor's surgery.

Call for Expressions of Interest

Devon County Council is inviting expressions of interest from organisations capable of utilising the building for community purposes. Interested parties should submit their expressions to Megan Cross at Devon County Council, County Hall, Topsham Road, Exeter, Devon, EX2 4QD. Submissions must be received by midday on January 14, 2026, and should be marked "Expression of Interest for SW Exeter Community Building."
