Devon County Council (DCC) has announced an invitation for expressions of interest regarding the use of a new community building currently under construction at March Close, South West Exeter. The site, located just off the A379, is expected to be completed by late 2026 and ready for transfer in early 2027.
The community building will encompass 805 square metres and will require fitting out and furnishing at the expense of the occupier post-transfer. The site will also include parking and other shared external areas available to both the community building and an adjacent doctors' surgery.
Organisations interested in utilising the space for "Community Purposes" are encouraged to submit their expressions of interest. These submissions should demonstrate the organisation's capability to fully utilise the facility once it becomes available.
How can I submit an expression of interest? Interested parties should send their submissions to Megan Cross at Devon County Council, County Hall, Topsham Road, Exeter, Devon, EX2 4QD. Submissions must be received by midday on 14 January 2026 and should be marked as “Expression of Interest for SW Exeter Community Building.”
What facilities will the new community building offer? The new facility will provide a substantial space of 805 square metres with parking and shared external areas. It is designed to support various community activities once fitted out by the occupier.
