Plymouth traffic restrictions for gas main works from April 2026
Traffic restrictions in Plymouth will begin on April 13 2026 due to gas main works.

Plymouth City Council has announced a series of temporary traffic restrictions set to commence on April 13 2026 These measures are being implemented to facilitate phased gas main works expected to last until June 15 2026 The affected areas include Baring Street Regent Street Beaumont Avenue and Ladywell Place

The order issued under section 14 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 will prohibit driving parking waiting loading and unloading of vehicles in specified sections of these streets Specifically Baring Street will see restrictions from Hospital Road to Camden Street northbound from Camden Street to Armada Street and eastbound from Camden Street to Greenbank Road Regent Street will be affected from North Street to Lipson Road

Additionally Beaumont Avenue will have driving prohibitions at the junction of Ladywell Place and northbound from Regent Street to number 8 Ladywell Place will be entirely closed to vehicular traffic

These restrictions will be enforced whenever the appropriate traffic signs are displayed and are intended to remain in place for a maximum duration of 18 months However the current schedule anticipates completion by mid June
