Plymouth road closures for resurfacing works from April 7
Temporary road closures in Plymouth for resurfacing from April 7 to April 21.

Plymouth City Council has announced a series of temporary road closures as part of the SCRIM Phase 2 resurfacing project. The closures will affect several key routes in the city, commencing on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, and are expected to last until Tuesday, April 21, 2026.

The roads impacted by these prohibitions include:

  • Saltash Road: From St Levan Road to Royal Navy Avenue
  • Wolseley Road: Inbound from Segrave Road to Milehouse Road
  • Mannamead Road: Outbound from Higher Compton Road to Torr Lane
  • Torr Lane: At the junction of Mannamead Road
  • Alexandra Road: From Southern Terrace to Lipson Vale and eastbound from Mutley Plain to Southern Terrace
  • Lipson Road: From Lipson Vale to Alexandra Road and westbound from Mostyn Avenue to Lipson Vale
  • North Hill: No right-hand turns onto Greenbank Road and Alexandra Road
  • Billacombe Road: Inbound from Pomphlett Road to The Ride
  • Exeter Street: Inbound from Cattedown Roundabout to Sutton Road

These restrictions will be enforced on the days and during the hours indicated by traffic signs at each location. The order is set under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and will remain in effect for up to 18 months.

Advance warning boards will be placed at each site to inform residents and commuters of specific dates and times closer to the commencement of works.
