Plymouth City Council has announced temporary prohibitions on driving, parking, waiting, loading, and unloading on several streets due to upcoming gas main works. The affected areas include Baring Street, Regent Street, Beaumont Avenue, and Ladywell Place. These restrictions will be enforced from Monday April 13 2026 and are expected to last until Monday June 15 2026.
The specific restrictions are as follows:
- Baring Street: Prohibition applies from Hospital Road to Camden Street, northbound from Camden Street to Armada Street, and eastbound from Camden Street to Greenbank Road.
- Regent Street: Prohibition applies from North Street to Lipson Road.
- Beaumont Avenue: Prohibition applies at the junction of Ladywell Place and northbound from Regent Street to number 8.
- Ladywell Place: Prohibition applies for its entirety.
These measures are part of phased gas main works conducted by Wales & West Utilities. The restrictions will be in effect whenever the appropriate traffic signs are displayed. The order is valid for up to 18 months but the current phase is anticipated to conclude by June 15 2026.
