Plymouth City Council has announced its intention to implement new traffic regulation orders that will affect parking restrictions and speed limits across several roads in the city. This proposal is part of the Living Streets initiative aimed at improving road safety and traffic flow.

The proposed changes include amendments to parking restrictions on roads such as Access Road to Plympton Health Centre, Beacon Down Avenue, Bearsdown Road, Boulter Close, Caernarvon Gardens, Coombe Lane, Efford Road, Eggbuckland Road, Flamsteed Crescent, Hendwell Close, Hessary Drive, Hooe Hill, Linketty Lane, Long Ley, Randwick Park Road, Slatelands Close, Tamerton Foliot Road, Valley Road, and Valey View Close.

In addition to parking adjustments, the council plans to modify speed limits on Jennycliffe Lane, Stamford Lane, and Staddon Lane. These measures are intended to enhance safety for both drivers and pedestrians by regulating traffic speeds in key areas.

Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to review the full details of the proposed order on the Plymouth City Council website or request a hard copy by calling 01752 668000. Those wishing to comment on the proposals can submit their feedback in writing to the Service Director for Street Services at Plymouth Highways or online by quoting reference Amd.2025.2137352 Living Streets 8. The deadline for submitting comments is 23 December 2025.

These changes reflect Plymouth's ongoing commitment to creating safer and more efficient road networks for its residents. Public participation is crucial in shaping these developments.
