Plymouth City Council has announced a temporary prohibition of driving on Dunstone Road, effective from 17 November 2025. This closure is part of the new connection works scheduled to take place until 21 November 2025. The affected section of Dunstone Road extends from Dunstone Drive to number 52.

The closure will be enforced 24 hours a day during this period, with appropriate traffic signs displayed to inform drivers. This measure is being implemented under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes during the closure period to avoid disruptions. Those who have any concerns or believe they may be adversely impacted are encouraged to contact South West Water at 03443462020 for further information.

The order will remain in force for a maximum of 18 months, although the works are expected to be completed within the specified five-day window.

For more details, residents can refer to the official notice published in The Herald on 20 October 2025.
