Plymouth City Council has announced a temporary prohibition of driving on Ringmore Way, effective from 1 December 2025. This closure is part of essential patch repair works scheduled to take place until 12 December 2025. The affected stretch runs from Budshead Road to Shaldon Crescent.
The order, made under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, allows for the prohibition of driving to be enforced whenever appropriate traffic signs are displayed. Although the order can remain in force for up to 18 months, the current works are anticipated to conclude within the specified timeframe.
Residents and commuters are advised to plan alternative routes during this period to avoid disruptions. Those who have any concerns or believe they may be adversely impacted by this closure are encouraged to contact South West Highways at 01752 278278 for further information.
This notice was issued by the Director for Growth at Plymouth City Council and published in The Herald on 3 November 2025.
