Plymouth City Council has announced a revision of the parking tariffs for off-street parking places, effective from 13 April 2026. This change is part of the City of Plymouth (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2007 and is being implemented under Sections 35C of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 and Regulation 25 of the Location Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996.

The revised charges will affect several car parks across Plymouth, including Derry’s Cross, Elphinstone, Exchange Street, Guildhall, Mayflower House Court, Mayflower Street (East), North Hill, Regent Street, St Andrews Street, and Theatre Royal. For these locations, the new tariffs are as follows: £4 for two hours, £5 for three hours, £6 for four hours, £7 for six hours, £15 for 24 hours, £60 weekly, and £250 monthly.

Other car parks such as Bretonside (B) and (C), Civic Centre, Colin Campbell Court, Cornwall Street East and West, Courtenay Street, Marks & Spencer, and Mayflower Street (West) will see changes to their pricing structure as well. The new rates include £2.50 for one hour and up to £9 for a maximum of five hours.

Western Approach will have its daily rate increased to £6.50 with weekly and monthly rates set at £35 and £65 respectively. Lipson Road Car Park will now charge £4 for three hours and £7 for all-day parking.

Meavy Way Car Park's operational hours have been extended to 8pm with a new annual permit available at £450. William Prance Road's twelve-hour rate will increase to £6.

Mutley Barracks and Napier Terrace will also see adjustments in their pricing with free parking available for up to two hours.

Additionally, the cost of an Accessibility Permit will rise from £60 to £78.

These changes aim to streamline parking management across the city while accommodating budgetary requirements. Residents and visitors are encouraged to review these updates ahead of their implementation date.
