In a recent public notice, David Farrow has applied for a limited premises licence for the Beautiful Days Music Festival, scheduled to take place at Escot Park, Ottery St Mary, Devon, EX11 1LU. The application, submitted to East Devon District Council under the Licensing Act 2003, outlines plans for alcohol sales and entertainment during the festival from August 13 to August 18, 2025.
The proposed licence would allow the sale of alcohol from noon to 1am on Wednesday, August 13 (staff only), and Thursday, August 14. On Friday, August 15, and Saturday, August 16, sales would extend from 10am to 2am, while on Sunday, August 17, they would be from 10am to midnight. Additionally, the application includes provisions for staff and artists in the Backstage Bar to purchase alcohol from 11am to 4am throughout the festival.
The Bimble Inn is also included in the application with proposed hours from noon to 1am on Thursday, noon to 3am on Friday and Saturday, and noon to 1am on Sunday. Late-night refreshments are planned from August 14 to August 17 between 11pm and 5am.
The festival aims to offer a variety of entertainment options including live music, recorded music, dancing, plays, and performances of dance. These activities are scheduled for Friday and Saturday from 11am to 2am and Sunday from 11am to midnight. The Theatre Tent will host events from 9am to 10pm on Friday through Sunday. Recorded music at the Bimble Inn is planned until 3am on Friday and Saturday. A silent disco is set for The Little Big Top on Friday and Saturday from 2am to 4am. Film exhibitions are scheduled for Friday through Sunday from noon to midnight.
Those who have any concerns or believe they may be adversely impacted by this application are encouraged to submit their representations in writing to The Licensing Manager at East Devon District Council by April 29, 2025. Representations received after this date will not be considered.
