Devon County Council has announced a temporary prohibition of through traffic and parking on Old Tiverton Road in Exeter. This closure is scheduled to commence on 5 March 2026, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14. The restriction will be in effect between 7pm and 6am.
The affected area includes sections of Old Tiverton Road, with an alternative route provided via B3212 Blackboy Road, Mount Pleasant Road, and back to Old Tiverton Road. This measure is necessary to facilitate resurfacing and high-friction surface (HFS) works.
The order was made on 28 February 2026 and is valid for a maximum period of 18 months, although the anticipated completion date is also set for 28 February 2026.
Residents and commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience. For further details or inquiries, Taylor Woodrow can be contacted at 07814891793.
