Plymouth City Council has announced a temporary prohibition of driving, parking, waiting, loading, and unloading on several roads in Plymouth due to planned resurfacing works. The affected roads include Notte Street, Devonport Hill from Cumberland Road to Kings Road, and Victoria Road from Lynher Street to Verna Road.

The restrictions will be enforced starting Monday March 9 2026 and are expected to last until Friday April 10 2026. The order is made under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and will remain in force for a maximum of 18 months. However, the actual resurfacing work is anticipated to be completed within the specified dates.

Advance warning boards will be placed at each location to inform residents and commuters of the exact dates and times of the closures as they approach. These measures are necessary to ensure the safety of both workers and the public during the resurfacing process.

For those who may be affected by these changes or have concerns regarding the roadworks, it is advised to contact South West Highways at 01752 278278 for further information.
