Plymouth City Council has announced a temporary prohibition of through traffic on Mutley Plain Lane due to essential meter works. The closure will affect the section between Connaught Avenue and Belgrave Road. This restriction is scheduled to commence on May 7 2026 and will last until May 8 2026 with the road closed from 11pm to 7am each night.
The temporary traffic regulation is being implemented under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14. The closure is necessary to facilitate the safe and efficient completion of the meter works being carried out by Kier on behalf of South West Water.
Residents and commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and seek alternative routes during the closure period. For further information regarding the works or the road closure contact Kier at 0344 346 2020.
