JAR SW Limited, trading as McDonald's Restaurants, has submitted an application to Plymouth City Council for a variation of its premises licence at McDonald's Restaurant, 100 New George Street, Plymouth, Devon, PL1 1RX. The application was filed on Monday August 14 2026 and aims to extend the restaurant's operating hours to allow for 24/7 service.

Currently, the premises are authorised to open from 5am daily and provide late night refreshments until midnight from Monday to Wednesday and Sunday. On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, the restaurant remains open until 5am. The proposed variation seeks to enable continuous operation throughout the week.

In addition to extending the opening hours, the application includes an update to the plan attached to the premises licence to reflect the current layout of the restaurant.

Those who wish to make representations regarding this application must do so in writing by Friday September 11 2026. Submissions can be sent to the Office of the Director of Public Health at Plymouth City Council or electronically via email. It is important for electronic submissions to include a postal address.

The full application is available for viewing at the licensing office during office hours by appointment or online at Plymouth City Council’s website.

It should be noted that making a false statement in connection with this application is an offence under Section 158 of the Licensing Act 2003 and may result in an unlimited fine upon conviction.
