Letchworth Garden City Rugby Football Club has submitted an application to North Hertfordshire District Council for a grant of premises licence under the Licensing Act 2003. The application pertains to the club's location on Baldock Road, Letchworth, SG6 2EN.

The proposed licence would allow the sale of alcohol during specified hours: Fridays from 5pm to 10 30pm, Saturdays from noon to 10 30pm, and Sundays from noon to 10 30pm. For VIP events, these hours extend to Fridays from 5pm to 12 20am, Saturdays from noon to 12 20am, and Sundays from noon to 12 20am.

Additionally, the club seeks permission for live and recorded music performances and dance events. These would occur on Fridays from 5pm to 11pm, Saturdays from noon to 11pm, and Sundays from noon to 9pm. VIP events would extend these times to Fridays until 1am, Saturdays until 1am, and Sundays until 1am.

Late night refreshments are also included in the application, with proposed hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 11pm to 11 30pm. For VIP occasions, this extends until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, and until 1am on Sundays.

The club plans to host two major events annually: Tryfest over one weekend between April and October, and a fireworks display in November.

Representations regarding this application must be submitted in writing to North Hertfordshire District Council by Thursday February 19 2026. Submissions can be sent by post or email. All representations will be shared with the applicant and included in a public report.

The full application is available for inspection at the Council Offices by appointment or online via the council's public register.
