Hertfordshire County Council has issued several temporary traffic management orders affecting various roads across the county starting from November 2025. These measures are intended to facilitate safe access and allow essential works to be carried out.

Dane End

In Dane End, a temporary order will enforce speed restrictions on Green End Lane/Green End. Vehicles will be limited to 20mph over a stretch of approximately 1600m and to 40mph over a separate 250m section. This is to ensure safe access to the Dane End Christmas Tree Farm. The order will be effective from 28 November 2025.

Cottered

The B1037 in Cottered will be closed for telegraph pole replacement works. The closure spans approximately 185m from its junction with Blind Lane. An alternative route is provided via several major roads including the A507 and B197. This order also comes into effect on 28 November 2025.

Braughing

In Braughing, the B1368 Green End will be closed for utility service works over a distance of about 35m. The closure starts on 1 December 2025, with an alternative route available via the A10 and B1038.

Bayford

White Stubbs Lane in Bayford will be closed for utility works over a distance of approximately 607m starting on 4 December 2025. An alternative route is provided through nearby roads.

Hertford

A footpath fronting Nos.1-12 Winding Shott in Hertford will be closed from 1 December 2025 for up to six months due to proposed works. Pedestrians can use an alternative path via Turners Close.

Watton at Stone and Winding Shott

Temporary closures and waiting restrictions will affect Hockerill in Watton at Stone and Winding Shott in Hertford starting on 1 December 2025. Alternative routes are available during these periods.

Whempstead Lane, Dane End

Whempstead Lane will close from its junction with Whempstead Road for utility works starting on 17 November 2025.

Puckeridge

Station Road in Puckeridge will be closed from its junction with High Street to Park Lane beginning on 17 November 2025 due to utility service works.

Wormley

West End Road in Wormley will close for utility works starting on 17 November 2025, with an alternative route provided.

Hertingfordbury

St Marys Lane in Hertingfordbury will close from its junction with Hertingfordbury Road starting on 17 November 2025 for utility works.

Wareside

The unnamed road (3U151) in Wareside will close from its junction with Fanhams Hall Road starting on 17 November 2025 due to proposed works.
