Overview of Traffic Notices in Hertfordshire

Hertfordshire County Council has announced several temporary road closures and restrictions across the county, effective from late November 2025. These measures are necessary to facilitate various utility works and infrastructure improvements.

1. B156 Cuffley Hill, Goffs Oak
   • Closure Details: The road will be closed from a point 100m southwest of its junction with Robinson Avenue for approximately 70m.
   • Alternative Route: Traffic will be redirected via B156 Goffs Lane, B198 Lieutenant Ellis Way, A10 Great Cambridge Road, among other roads.

3. B1037 White Hill, Walkern/Luffenhall

   • Reason: Replacement of existing telegraph pole.

4. Bromley Lane, Much Hadham/Standon
   • Closure Details: From a point 170m northwest of its junction with C15 for approximately 2620m.

   • Reason: Replacement of an existing telegraph pole.

5. Church Green, Benington
   • Closure Details: From a point 104m southwest of its junction with Town Lane for approximately 120m.

6. Rosedale Way and Footway in Cheshunt
   • Closure Details: Rosedale Way from a point southeast of Peakes Way roundabout for approximately 110m; footway on the west side for approximately 70m.
   • Alternative Route for Vehicles and Pedestrians: Includes Rosedale Way, Longfield Lane, Flamstead End Road.
   • Reason: Proposed works on or near the road and footway.

Additional Notices

• Temporary waiting restrictions are also being implemented in South Street, Stanstead Abbotts due to ongoing works. No alternative route is available during these times; however, access to properties will be maintained where possible.
• A507 Baldock Road in Cottered will be closed from its junction with A10 Buntingford Bypass/B1038 Baldock Road roundabout to Throcking Lane for utility service works. Alternative routes have been provided via major roads such as A10 and A505.
• Gobions Lane in Stapleford will be closed for bridge maintenance works with an alternative route via A119 High Road and Bramfield Lane.
