Hertfordshire County Council has issued several temporary traffic orders affecting various roads across the county, commencing from late January 2025. These orders are necessary to facilitate utility service works and other essential maintenance activities.

B156 Goffs Lane, Cheshunt Closure

The B156 Goffs Lane in Cheshunt will be closed from its junction with the Rosedale Way/B198 Lieutenant Ellis Way roundabout, extending northeast for approximately 100 metres. The closure is scheduled to begin on 20 February 2025 and may last up to 18 months, although restrictions will only apply as indicated by local signage. An alternative route will be provided via B198 Lieutenant Ellis Way, A10 Great Cambridge Road, and B156.

Malting Lane, Braughing Closure

Malting Lane in Braughing will be closed from its junction with B1368 Green End southeastwards for about 185 metres. This closure is set to start on 10 February 2025, with an alternative route available via B1368 Green End, Ford Street, and Malting Lane.

Hammondstreet Road, Cheshunt Closure

Hammondstreet Road in Cheshunt will be closed from the Argent Way roundabout southeastwards to Peakes Lane, covering a distance of approximately 1000 metres. The closure will commence on 13 February 2025. An alternative route includes Hammondstreet Road, Darnicle Hill, Newgate Street Village, and other connecting roads.

Station Road, Westmill Closure

Station Road in Westmill will be closed from its junction with A10 southwards to C16. This order takes effect on 27 January 2025. The alternative route involves A10 Puckeridge Bypass and Mentley Lane West.

B1368 Hay Street/Green End, Braughing Closure

The B1368 Hay Street/Green End in Braughing will be closed from C32 southwards to Hull Lane starting on 30 January 2025. The alternative route includes B1368 Hay Street and other connecting roads.

Hebing End, Benington Closure

Hebing End in Benington will be closed from Whempstead Road northeastwards for about 137 metres starting on 27 January 2025. No alternative route is available; however, access to properties will be maintained where possible.

Bus/Cycle Lane on B176 High Street, Waltham Cross Closure

The bus/cycle lane on the east side of B176 High Street in Waltham Cross will be closed from a point near Trinity Lane southeastwards for approximately 238 metres starting on 27 January 2025. An alternative route is via B176 High Street.

Little Berkhamsted Lane Closure

Little Berkhamsted Lane will be closed from a point near No.18 Little Berkhamsted Lane southwestwards for about 30 metres starting on 27 January 2025. An alternative route includes Little Berkhamsted Lane and surrounding roads.

Church Lane, Hunsdon and A10 Slip Road Closures

Church Lane in Hunsdon and the A10 Great Cambridge Road slip road in Cheshunt will face closures starting on 27 January 2025. Alternative routes are provided via nearby major roads.
