Hertfordshire County Council has issued several road traffic regulation notices under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, affecting various locations across the county. These measures are intended to facilitate essential development and utility works.

Footpath Buntingford 035 Closure The footpath heading west from Norris Way will be closed for approximately 100 metres starting on or after 8 May 2026 for up to six months. This closure is necessary to enable development works. An alternative route will be provided.

Bushbarns, Cheshunt Footpath Closure The footpath on the north side of Nos.37-40 Bushbarns will be closed from 14 May 2026 for utility service works. The closure will last three days, with an alternative route available via nearby footpaths.

Traffic Management in Hertford and Hertford Heath From 17 May 2026, the eastbound carriageway of B1502 Stanstead Road will be closed for approximately 263 metres. Additionally, a speed limit of 30mph will be enforced on certain sections of the A414 Rush Green roundabout and B1502 Stanstead Road. These measures are expected to last for 65 days.

Crouch Lane, Goffs Oak Closure Scheduled for one day on or after 13 May 2026, Crouch Lane will be closed for utility works. An alternative route via Argent Way and Hammondstreet Road will be available.

Ashendene Road, Bayford Closure Water connection works will necessitate the closure of Ashendene Road from 11 May 2026 for five days. Traffic will be diverted via Bayford Road and Brickendon Lane.

B181 Roydon Road, Stanstead Abbotts Closure Gas mains replacement will close Roydon Road from 27 April 2026 for two weeks. Traffic will be rerouted through High Street and Station Road.

Church Lane, Wormley Closure Utility works will close Church Lane on 29 April 2026 for one day. An alternative route via A1170 High Road is advised.

Lea Road Right Turn Prohibition in Waltham Cross From 27 April 2026, right turns from Lea Road into A121 Station Road will be prohibited due to street lighting works. The restriction is expected to last two days.

Brookside, Hertford Closure Brookside will be closed from 27 April 2026 for three days due to utility service works. Access will be maintained where possible.

Bromley Lane, Standon Closure and Waiting Restrictions Starting on 27 April 2026, Bromley Lane will be closed for five days with no waiting allowed during this period due to ongoing works.
