Hertfordshire County Council has issued a series of temporary road closure notices affecting various locations across the county. These measures, set to commence in March 2025, are necessary to facilitate essential works and will be in place for up to 18 months, although restrictions will only apply at specific times as indicated by signage.

In Buntingford, High Street will be closed from its junction with B1038 Baldock Road to Norfolk Road, with an alternative route via B1038 Baldock Road, A10 Buntingford Bypass, Ermine Street, and High Street. Church Street will also see closures from High Street to The Causeway, with traffic rerouted via Vicarage Road and Wyddial Road. Additionally, the one-way system on Church Street will be temporarily suspended.

Wharf Road in Wormley will be closed for water service connection works, with traffic redirected via A1170 High Road and Cozens Lane East. In Goffs Oak, Crouch Lane will be closed except for access, with an alternative route through Rags Lane and St James Road.

A119 North Road in Hertford will undergo pigeon netting inspection and repair works, necessitating a closure from Beane Road roundabout to B1000 Welwyn Road roundabout. Traffic will be diverted via A414 and A10.

Drakes Close in Cheshunt will experience full closure for works, with no alternative route available; however, access to properties will be maintained where possible. Hagsdell Road in Hertford will also close for utility service works, with a detour via Queens Road and Hale Road.

Further closures include B158 Horns Mill Road in Hertford and Lower Hatfield Road in Essendon for extensive works. Halstead Hill in Goffs Oak will close for utility service works, with a detour via Silver Street and Jones Road.

B156 Goffs Lane in Goffs Oak will close for development works, redirecting traffic via Lieutenant Ellis Way and A10. Church Hill in Hertford Heath will close for electrical service works, with an alternative route via Vicarage Causeway.

Mangrove Road in Hertford will see closures for electrical service connection works, affecting both directions. Traffic management measures are also planned for Roman Street and North Road in Hoddesdon.

B1037 in Cottered will close for utility service works, with a detour via White Hill and Stevenage Road. Warren Park Road in Hertford will close for reinstatement works, redirecting traffic via B158 Bengeo Street.
