Hertfordshire County Council has issued several road traffic notices under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, detailing temporary closures across the county. These closures are necessary to facilitate development and utility works.
Bridleway Closures
- Buntingford 013: This bridleway will be closed between Hare Street Road and The Causeway from 11 September 2026 for up to six months. Alternative pedestrian routes are available via Buntingford 008 and 034.
- Thundridge 048: Scheduled to close on or after 1 September 2026 for one day, with no suitable alternative route available.
Road Closures in Cheshunt
- B176 Crossbrook Street: Closure from Theobalds Lane south eastwards for approximately 20m starting from 14 September 2026, lasting six days.
- Dark Lane: Closure from a point 110m south west of its junction with B156 Goffs Lane for one day starting from 14 September 2026.
Ware Area Closures
- Park Road: Closure from Roman Court north westwards for approximately 40m starting from 14 September 2026, lasting three days.
- Tower Road: Closure from a point 158m north east of Homefield Road starting from 15 September 2026, lasting two days.
Additional Closures
- Goffs Oak and Ware: Various roads including Pollards Close and High Oak Road will be closed starting from 16 September 2026 for seven days.
- Stanstead Abbotts: B181 Station Road closure from Lawrence Avenue to Amwell Lane starting from 15 September 2026, lasting two days.
- Hertford, Braughing, and Little Hadham: Multiple roads will face closures starting from 14 September 2026 for five days.
