Hertfordshire County Council has issued a series of temporary road closure and waiting restriction orders affecting various roads across the county, set to commence from January 2025. These measures are necessary to facilitate essential utility service works and other road maintenance activities.

Hebing End, Benington Closure

The council plans to close Hebing End in Benington from its junction with Whempstead Road northeastwards for approximately 137 metres. This closure is scheduled to begin on 27 January 2025 and will last up to 18 months, although access to properties will be maintained where possible. Little Berkhamsted Lane, Little Berkhamsted Closure

Little Berkhamsted Lane will be closed from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.18 southwestwards for about 30 metres. An alternative route will be provided via Robins Nest Hill and several other roads. This order also starts on 27 January 2025. Church Lane, Hunsdon and A10 Great Cambridge Road Slip Road, Cheshunt Restrictions

Church Lane in Hunsdon and the A10 slip road in Cheshunt will face temporary closures and waiting restrictions. Alternative routes have been arranged via major roads including A414 and A1170. Station Road, Westmill Closure

Station Road in Westmill will be closed from its junction with the A10 southwards to C16 for approximately 494 metres. The closure begins on 27 January 2025, with an alternative route via Mentley Lane West. For inquiries, contact Carl Leggett at Ringway.

B1368 (Hay Street/Green End), Braughing Closure

The B1368 in Braughing will be closed from its junction with C32 southwards to Hull Lane for about 1068 metres starting on 30 January 2025. An alternative route is available via B1038 and A10. Contact Diana Shlyapnikova at Sunbelt Rentals Ltd for further details.

Bus/Cycle Lane on B176 High Street, Waltham Cross Closure

The bus/cycle lane on the east side of B176 High Street will be closed from a point near Trinity Lane southeastwards for approximately 238 metres starting on 27 January 2025. Tewin Hill, Tewin Closure

Tewin Hill will be closed from Upper Green to Bramfield Road for about 1750 metres starting on 9 January 2025. An alternative route is available via Burnham Green Road. Contact Carl Leggett at Ringway for details.

Benington Road, Walkern Closure

Bury Lane, Datchworth Closure

Hadham Road, Standon Closure

A10 Northbound Slip Road Closure

Owles Lane, Buntingford Closure
