Hertfordshire County Council has issued several road traffic notices detailing upcoming closures and diversions across the county. These measures are necessary to facilitate essential works on or near the affected roads.

Woodland Road, Hertford Heath The closure will affect Woodland Road from its junction with Church Hill south eastwards and southwards for approximately 367 metres. An alternative route will be via Church Hill, Vicarage Causeway, B1197 London Road, Priors Wood Road, and Woodland Road. The order is effective from 1 April 2026 for up to 18 months, with works scheduled to last one day.

Cherry Green Lane, Westmill Cherry Green Lane will be closed from a point 484 metres north east of its junction with Westmill Restricted Byway No.004 north eastwards for approximately 260 metres. The alternative route includes Cherry Green Lane, C16 (unnamed road), and 3U20 (unnamed road). This closure begins on 30 March 2026 and is expected to last five days.

High Wych Lane, High Wych The closure affects High Wych Lane from its junction with High Wych Road north westwards for about 46 metres. An alternative route is available via High Wych Road and High Wych Lane. The order starts on 30 March 2026 and will last seven days.

Green Lane, Braughing Green Lane will be closed from its junction with The Street south eastwards, north eastwards, and south westwards for approximately 351 metres. There is no alternative route available; however, access will be maintained where possible. The closure begins on 1 April 2026 and is expected to last five days.

Railway Place, Hertford Railway Place will be closed from its junction with Railway Street south eastwards to A119 Ware Road for about 171 metres. An alternative route is via Railway Street, Mill Road, and A119 Ware Road. This closure starts on 30 March 2026 and will last five days.

Various Roads in Cheshunt Several roads in Cheshunt will be closed including Debenham Road, Moreton Close, Varney Close, Paradise Close, and Park Lane. Alternative routes are provided where possible. These closures begin on 30 March 2026 with works scheduled to last one day.
