Exeter City Council has announced a series of planning applications that could impact the setting of listed buildings and the character or appearance of conservation areas. These applications are available for public viewing on the council's website, where representations of objection, comment, or support can be submitted within 24 days of this notice.

One notable application involves the land adjacent to 54 Howell Road in Duryard & St James, proposing the demolition of an existing garage to be replaced with a 2.5 storey dwelling (C3 use). Another application at The Cottage, Glasshouse Lane in Topsham seeks permission for a two-storey rear and side extension to the dwelling.

In Newtown & St Leonards, a proposal at 3 Premier Place includes a single-storey rear extension, installation of four solar panels, an external air source heat pump, and alterations to the front boundary and vehicle access.

For listed building applications, Flat 4 at 1 Regents Park in Heavitree plans to remove damaged concrete render from the west-facing wall and replace it with lime render. Additionally, The Cottage on Glasshouse Lane in Topsham is applying for a two-storey rear and side extension.

Further proposals include re-rendering and repairing the façade at The Maisonette, 13A Lower North Street in St Davids, along with repairs to existing windows and doors and internal alterations. At 3 Southernhay West in St Davids, proposed changes involve alterations to walls and doors on all floors except the second, secondary glazing to front windows on all floors except the third, new hearths and mantels to fireplaces on several floors, new balustrades and newel posts on stairs, two skylights in the flat roof at the rear lower ground level, and vents on all floors except the first.
