In a series of public notices, Devon County Council has announced several temporary traffic restrictions affecting various roads across the county. These measures, enacted under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, are intended to facilitate essential infrastructure works and will impact both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

Road from Bonchurch Cottage to Speedway Garage, Rewe

A temporary prohibition of through traffic will be in effect from Tuesday May 13 2025, anticipated to conclude by Thursday May 22 2025. This closure is necessary for drainage works. The alternative route for vehicles will be via Road Past Old Ruffwell Farm, Road From Forches House To Rewe Cross, Green Lane, and back to the original route. East Wonford Hill, Exeter

From Monday June 9 2025, a temporary prohibition of pedestrians will be enforced on East Wonford Hill, specifically affecting the footpath from Victor Street. This restriction is expected to last until Friday June 20 2025 and is required for the installation of a new pipe within existing steps. Okehampton Road and Buddle Lane, Exeter

Starting Monday May 12 2025, there will be a temporary prohibition of through traffic on Okehampton Road and Buddle Lane. This closure is anticipated to end by Friday May 23 2025 and is necessary for gas mains replacement works. Alternative routes include both anti-clockwise and clockwise diversions via Okehampton Road, Buddle Lane, Cowick Street, and other connecting roads. Alphinbrook Road and Hennock Roads, Exeter

From Monday May 12 2025 until Friday June 20 2025, there will be phased closures affecting Alphinbrook Road and Hennock Roads. These restrictions are required for the replacement of old metallic gas mains with new plastic mains. Diversion routes have been established for each phase of the work.
