Hertfordshire County Council has submitted a planning application under Article 15 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure Order 2015) for a change of use at Crompton Road, Stevenage. The proposal involves converting the existing car repairs premises (B2) into a waste recycling storage area with resurfaced hardstanding, in conjunction with the adjacent waste recycling facility (Sui Generis). The plan also includes replacing gates and fencing at the site's frontage.

This application, referenced as PL/0545/26, seeks to alter the site use layout from the previously granted planning permission PL/0421/24. The proposed changes aim to enhance the operational efficiency of the existing waste recycling operations at Crompton Road.

Residents and interested parties can view all submitted documents online at Hertfordshire County Council's planning portal. Comments on the application are invited and can be submitted via the council's website or by post to the Spatial Planning Unit at Six Hills Way, Stevenage, SG1 2ST. The deadline for submitting comments is 18 April 2026.

Those who have any concerns or believe they may be adversely impacted by this development are encouraged to review the application details and submit their feedback within the specified timeframe.
