A small group of pupils from Holme Grange School in Wokingham, Berkshire attended the English Winter Fair in Staffordshire to see the livestock being shown and take part in a sausage making competition run by the Junior Pig Club.

The children watched a demonstration from the butcher on how to make good quality sausages using top quality meat and then went on to create their own unique recipe.

After the first round of judging their pupils were selected to go through to the grand finale where they were up against professional butchers who they beat to second place.
