Punch Taverns Limited has submitted an application to the Borough of Broxbourne Council to vary the premises licence for Wheatsheaf, located at 273 High Street, Waltham Cross, EN8 7BG. This application under the Licensing Act 2003 aims to permit significant changes to the layout and design of the premises.

The proposed alterations include a full refurbishment project that will extend the trade area by removing the existing kitchen. Additional modifications involve reconfiguring the bar area, installing new fixed seating, and creating a games area. Notably, Punch Taverns seeks to replace the current condition limiting occupancy to 100 persons with a new condition where capacity will be determined by a Fire Risk Assessment.

Importantly, the operating times, licensable activities, and other conditions authorised by the existing premises licence will remain unchanged.
