Plymouth City Council has announced temporary restrictions affecting both vehicular and pedestrian access in two key areas of the city. These measures are being implemented to facilitate essential infrastructure works.

Marine Road Traffic Restriction

Under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14, a temporary restriction will be placed on Marine Road. This order will prohibit any vehicle from proceeding between Numbers 58 and 33 on Marine Road. The restriction is set to commence on 10 August 2026 and will last for a maximum of 18 months, although it is anticipated to end by 17 August 2026. The restriction will be in effect 24 hours a day. Frensham Avenue Pedestrian Restriction

Similarly, a temporary restriction under the Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14 will affect pedestrians on the footpath along Frensham Avenue. The affected section runs between Tavistock Road and Frensham Avenue. This restriction will also begin on 10 August 2026, lasting up to 18 months but expected to conclude by 25 September 2026.
