In Plymouth, two significant temporary road restrictions are scheduled to commence in July 2026. These measures are part of essential infrastructure works aimed at improving local amenities.
Peverell Park Road Restrictions
Plymouth City Council has announced a temporary restriction on parking, waiting, loading, and unloading on Peverell Park Road. This restriction will be in effect from 20 July 2026 to 7 August 2026, operating 24 hours a day. The affected area is between the junctions of Thornbury Park Avenue and Edgcumbe Park Road. This measure is necessary to facilitate gas main works. For further details, residents can contact Wales & West Utilities at 0800 9122 999.
Wordsworth Road and Crescent Restrictions
Similarly, Wordsworth Road and Wordsworth Crescent will experience a temporary restriction of through traffic. This restriction will also begin on 20 July 2026 but will extend until 25 September 2026. The affected sections include Wordsworth Road between Wyatt Avenue and Wordsworth Crescent, and Wordsworth Crescent between Wyatt Avenue and Wordsworth Road. These restrictions are required for phased tabletop ramp works. Additional information can be obtained by contacting MJL Contractors Ltd at 07572 264654.
Both orders have been issued under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14 by the Director for Growth at Plymouth City Council. Residents are advised to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience during these periods.
