Several hundred diehard Reading FC fans made the trip to Burton Albion on Tuesday night and were rewarded with a fine victory.
Royals saw off the Brewers 3-1 thanks to goals by Jon Dadi Bodvarsson (two) and Chris Gunter.
It was a first win in nine Championship games for Reading and means they are now six points above the relegation zone.
Bodvarsson tapped home the opening goal following a low cross by Leandro Bacuna, but Burton drew level when Lucas Akins netted from the spot.
Gunter restored Reading's advantage with a precise low finish before Bodvarsson's tap-in secured a much-needed three points.
The official attendance at the Pirelli Stadium was just 2,750, but the away fans made plenty of noise throughout a freezing night in the Midlands.
getreading photographer Eddie Greville was pitchside to capture the supporters who made the six-hour round-trip.
