Plymouth City Council has announced a series of temporary traffic restrictions to facilitate phased resurfacing works across various roads in the city. These measures will be in effect from 1 June 2026 to 30 September 2026, impacting several key routes.

The affected roads include Elliot Road, Octagon Street, Laira Bridge Road, Plymbridge Road, Embankment Road, and many others. Specific sections of these roads will experience restrictions on through traffic, parking, waiting, loading, and unloading.

These temporary measures are necessary to ensure the safe and efficient completion of resurfacing and associated works. Advance warning boards will be placed at each location to inform residents and commuters of the exact dates and times of the restrictions.

For further details or inquiries regarding the roadworks, individuals can contact South West Highways at 01752 278278. The Director for Growth at Plymouth City Council has authorised these measures as part of ongoing infrastructure improvements.

Residents and commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and consider alternative routes where possible to minimise disruption during this period.
