The City of Plymouth has announced a proposed amendment to its traffic movement and speed limit regulations, specifically targeting Place De Brest on Cornwall Street. This proposal is part of the City of Plymouth (Traffic Movement and Speed Limit Regulations) (Amendment Order No. 2026.2137361 Place De Brest) Order.

The proposed order aims to prohibit all motor vehicles from accessing Place De Brest. This initiative is being undertaken by the Council of the City of Plymouth under the powers granted by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, following consultations with the Chief Officer of Police.

Those wishing to comment on the proposed order are encouraged to submit their feedback in writing to the Service Director for Street Services at Plymouth Highways, Ballard House, West Hoe Road, Plymouth, PL1 3BJ. Comments can also be submitted online via the council's website. All submissions should reference Amd.2026.2137361 Place De Brest and must be received by 21 July 2026.
