Plymouth City Council has issued a notice under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, announcing temporary restrictions on through traffic, parking, waiting, loading, and unloading due to surface dressing works. These measures will affect several roads in Plymouth between 17 August 2026 and 30 October 2026.

The roads impacted include:

  • Macadam Road from Shapters Way to PCC Depot Entrance
  • Barbican Approach from Shapters Road to Commercial Road
  • Bellingham Crescent from Glen Road to Pode Drive
  • Sandy Road from Glen Road to Ridgeway
  • Newnham Road in its entirety
  • West Park Hill from Newnham Road to B3417
  • Plymbridge Road from Cranfield to Plymbridge Car Park
  • Clittaford Road from Langley Crescent to Southway Drive
  • Honicknowle Lane from Shakespeare Road to St Pancras Avenue
  • Beaumont Road from Heathfield Road to Seymour Road
  • Wilton Street from Stuart Road to Molesworth Road
  • Royal Navy Avenue from Ocean Street to North Down Crescent
  • Peverell Park Road from Outland Road to Kingswood Park Avenue
  • Blandford Road from Compton Vale to Park Road

Advance warning boards will be placed at each location to inform residents and commuters of the specific dates and times of the works. These temporary restrictions are deemed necessary to facilitate phased surface dressing and associated works.
