Devon County Council has announced a temporary prohibition of through traffic and parking on Park Road and St John's Road in Exeter. This measure is set to commence on Thursday August 17 2026 and is expected to last until November 11 2026. The restriction is being implemented under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14 to facilitate a lead replacement scheme renewal.

During this period no vehicles will be allowed to proceed or park on the affected roads. An alternative route for vehicles will be signposted via Polsloe Road Pinhoe Road and Commins Road.

The works are being carried out by Kier on behalf of South West Water. Residents and commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and follow the signed diversions.
