National Highways Limited has announced temporary traffic restrictions on the M25 Motorway between Junctions 26 and 25, affecting areas in Essex and the London Borough of Enfield. These measures are being implemented under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to facilitate essential pylon repair works by contractors working on behalf of UK Power Networks (UKPN).

The order will authorise overnight closures of both carriageways of the M25 between Junction 25 (A10) and Junction 26 (A121), as well as all roads leading to and from these sections. Additionally, a continuous 50mph speed limit will be imposed on the anticlockwise carriageway between a point approximately 925 metres west of the Honey Lane underbridge and a point approximately 295 metres west of the Meridian Way (A121) underbridge.

These restrictions are intended to ensure road safety while the repair works are carried out. The works are scheduled to commence on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, and are expected to last approximately five weeks. Overnight closures will occur from 10pm to 5:30am.

The order will come into effect on August 24, 2026, with a maximum duration of eighteen months, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed within five weeks. During this period, affected traffic will be diverted via the A121 and A10 in both directions.
