The Department for Transport has announced an order under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, specifically Section 247, titled 'The Stopping up of Highway (East) (No.13) Order 2026'. This order authorises the stopping up of an irregular shaped area of highway to the west of High Road Wormley in the Borough of Broxbourne. This action is intended to facilitate development as permitted by Broxbourne Borough Council under reference number 07/25/0583/F.

Copies of the order can be obtained free of charge from the Secretary of State's National Transport Casework Team by quoting SUO6137173. Additionally, the order may be inspected during normal opening hours at Broxbourne Borough Council, Bishops College, Churchgate, College Road, Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, EN8 9XQ.

Individuals wishing to challenge the validity of this decision have six weeks from 18 June 2026 to apply to the High Court. The notice was published in the Hertfordshire Mercury.
