Hertfordshire County Council has issued several traffic notices affecting various roads across the county starting in May 2026. These orders are made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to facilitate necessary works.

Footpath Buntingford 035 Closure

The footpath heading west from Norris Way will be closed for development works from 8 May 2026 for up to six months. An alternative route will be provided.

A1170 Ware Road, Hoddesdon

Vehicular traffic will be prohibited on A1170 Ware Road from its junction with the Bridleway/Plomer Avenue roundabout to Roselands Avenue from 25 May 2026 for five days. An alternative route via A1170 Ware Road and A10 is available.

Kitten Lane, Stanstead Abbotts

Kitten Lane will be closed from its junction with B180 Hunsdon Road on 24 May 2026 for one day. The alternative route is via B180 Hunsdon Road and B181 Roydon Road.

Ardeley Unnamed Road

The unnamed road in Ardeley will be closed from its junction with C14 north westwards on 22 May 2026 for one day. An alternative route is provided via C14 and B1037.

The Street, Little Hormead/Furneux Pelham

This road will be closed from Worsted Lane to The Causeway from 25 May 2026 for seven days. An alternative route includes Worsted Lane and B1368.

Whempstead Road/Town Lane, Benington

Closure from Hebing End to Church Green starts on 25 May 2026 for five days. Alternative routes include Whempstead Road and A602 Ware Road.

Malting Lane, Braughing

Malting Lane will close from its junction with B1368 Green End on 25 May 2026 for ten days. The alternative route is via B1368 Green End.

Ashendene Road, Bayford

Closure from the north eastern boundary of No.48 Ashendene Road starts on 27 May 2026 for five days. Alternative routes include Ashendene Road and Bayford Road.

Cecil Road, Hoddesdon

Cecil Road will close from Rye Road to Salisbury Road on 25 May 2026 for twelve days. An alternative route is via Rye Road and Bosanquet Road.

Various Roads in Goffs Oak, Hoddesdon, and Broxbourne

Multiple roads including B156 Goffs Lane and Stanstead Road will face closures starting from 25 May 2026 for five days. Alternative routes are provided.

Albury Walk, Cheshunt

Albury Walk will close from Albury Ride on 25 May 2026 for fifteen days due to gas main works. Access will be maintained where possible.

Heath Drive, Ware

Heath Drive closure starts on 25 May 2026 for five days due to electrical works. An alternative route is via Kingsway.

Eastwick, Stanstead Abbotts, Harlow, and Gilston Roads

Traffic management measures including speed restrictions and right turn prohibitions start on various roads from 25 May 2026 for seven days.
