Hertfordshire traffic notices for July 2026
Hertfordshire County Council announces multiple road closures and traffic management orders for July 2026.

Hertfordshire County Council has issued several traffic notices under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, detailing temporary road closures and traffic management measures across the county. These measures are intended to facilitate various utility works and infrastructure improvements.

Footpath Hertford 062 Closure

The footpath from its junction with Hertingfordbury Road will be closed for utility works from 17 July 2026 for up to 12 days. An alternative route will be provided.

St Catherines Road, Broxbourne

A section of St Catherines Road will be closed from 17 July 2026 for two days to allow utility service works. The closure affects a stretch approximately 20m long.

A10 Hoddesdon/Turnford and Cheshunt

Traffic restrictions will be in place on the A10 from 20 July 2026 for three days. The closure spans approximately 8840m, with alternative routes via major roads including the A1(M) and M25.

B176 High Street/Turners Hill, Cheshunt

This road will be closed from 20 July 2026 for up to 19 days. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting on both sides during the works.

Various Roads in Hoddesdon

Temporary traffic management measures will affect several roads in Hoddesdon starting from 20 July 2026. These include restrictions on Conduit Lane and Brewery Road.

Pearson Avenue, Hertford

Scheduled for closure on 20 July 2026, Pearson Avenue will be inaccessible for one day due to utility works.

The Street, Aspenden

The Street will be closed from 21 July 2026 for two days to replace a telegraph pole. No alternative route is available.

Cherry Green Lane, Westmill

This road will also close on 21 July 2026 for two days for similar telegraph pole replacement works.

Additional Closures and Restrictions

Other affected areas include Cock Lane in Hoddesdon, Wheatcroft footpath in Cheshunt, and various roads in Furneux Pelham and Hunsdon. Each closure is scheduled to facilitate necessary infrastructure or utility service works.
