Hertfordshire County Council has issued a series of traffic notices under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, detailing temporary road closures and diversions across the county. These measures are necessary to facilitate various utility works and repairs.

Footpath Hertford 062 Closure The footpath from its junction with Hertingfordbury Road will be closed for approximately 15 metres starting from 17 July 2026 for up to 12 days. An alternative route will be provided.

Church Lane, Watton at Stone Closure Scheduled from 1 August 2026, Church Lane will be closed for brickwork repairs. The closure will last seven days with an alternative route via Station Road and High Street.

Various Roads in Ware and Wormley From 3 August 2026, roads including A119 Hertford Road and Myddleton Road in Ware will be closed for seven days. Diversions will be in place via A119 London Road and other routes.

Aston Lane, Aston Closure Utility service works will close Aston Lane from 3 August 2026 for nine days. Traffic will be diverted via Stringers Lane and Benington Road.

St Andrews Street into Brewhouse Lane Prohibition From 3 August 2026, left turns from St Andrews Street into Brewhouse Lane will be prohibited for six months due to wall repair works.

Bucks Alley, Essendon Closure Starting on 3 August 2026, Bucks Alley will close for nine days for utility works. An alternative route is available via Robins Nest Hill.

Watton Road/C29 in Stevenage Closure Vegetation removal works will close Watton Road on 4 August 2026 for one day. Diversions are planned via A602 Broadhall Way.

West End Road, Wormley Closure Water connection works will close West End Road from 3 August 2026 for three days with a diversion via Church Lane.

B180 Hunsdon Road, Stanstead Abbotts Closure Scheduled for one day on 3 August 2026, this closure is due to utility service works with a diversion via B181 Roydon Road.
