Hertfordshire County Council has announced several temporary traffic orders affecting various roads across the county. These orders are essential for executing utility service works and ensuring public safety during the construction period.

Temporary Road Closures

  1. Brookfield Lane, Aston
    • Closure from its junction with Ford Lane southwestwards for approximately 150m.
    • Alternative route: Brookfield Lane, Long Lane, Lanterns Lane, Gresley Way, Broadwater Lane, Benington Lane, New Park Lane.
    • Effective from 30 June 2026 for one day.
  2. The Street, Furneux Pelham
    • Closure from its junction with The Causeway northwestwards for approximately 230m.
    • Alternative route: The Causeway, Patient End, Braughing Road, Pelham Road.
    • Effective from 29 June 2026 for five days.
  3. Park Lane, Waltham Cross
    • Closure from its junction with Swans Road southeastwards for approximately 20m.
    • Alternative route: Park Lane, Sturlas Way, A121 Monarchs Way.
    • Effective from 1 July 2026 for one day.
  4. Whempstead Road, Benington
    • Closure from a point 123m southeast of High Elms Lane for approximately 120m.
    • Alternative route: Whempstead Road, Town Lane, Church Green.
    • Effective from 16 June 2026 for three days.
  5. Hebing End, Benington
    • Closure from its junction with Whempstead Road southeastwards for approximately 350m.
    • No alternative route available; access maintained where possible.
    • Effective from 15 June 2026 for one day.

Bus/Cycle Lane Closures

  • B176 Turners Hill, Cheshunt
    • Closure of the bus/cycle lane on the east side from a point 94m southeast of Windmill Lane for approximately 88m.
    • Effective from 29 June 2026 for five days due to gas connection works.

Traffic Management Measures

  • A10 Great Cambridge Road, Cheshunt
    • Speed limit reduced to 30mph over a stretch of approximately 300m.
    • Prohibition of left turn from College Road into A10 during works.
    • Effective from 15 June 2026 for four days due to water connection works.

Waiting Restrictions

  • Village Close, Hoddesdon
    • Broxbourne Borough Council has introduced waiting restrictions on part of Village Close as per the new order effective from 11 June to 18 June 2026. For more details or to view documents related to this order, appointments can be made by contacting Broxbourne Borough Council at their offices or online.
