Hertfordshire County Council has announced several road traffic notices effective from June 2026. These include temporary road closures, diversions, and public path orders across various locations in the county.

Key Notices:

• Buntingford Public Path Diversion: The confirmed diversion order affects the public footpath near TL 3563 3018. The new path runs WNW for approximately 80m to TL 3556 3020.
• The Street, Furneux Pelham Closure: From 22 June 2026, a section of The Street will be closed for water connection works. An alternative route is provided via local roads.
• C16 Road Closure in Tonwell/Stony Hills: Scheduled from 22 June 2026 for utility service works. A detour is available via A602 Tonwell Bypass and other local roads.
• Church Street, Ware Closure: Starting 25 June 2026, this closure is due to utility works with an alternative route via A1170 High Street.
• Right Turn Prohibition at Waltham Cross: From 23 June 2026, right turns from B176 Turners Hill into Windmill Lane will be prohibited due to utility works.
• Church Lane, Wormley Closure: Effective from 22 June 2026 for utility service works. An alternative route is detailed via surrounding roads.
• Footpath Closures in Broxbourne and Wormley: Starting 22 June 2026 for gas mains replacement. Alternative pedestrian routes are provided where possible.
• Mentley Lane East, Standon Closure: From 10 June 2026 for utility works with no alternative route available but access maintained where possible.
• Whempstead Road, Benington Closure: Scheduled from 10 June 2026 for utility works with a detour via local roads.
• Church Lane, Watton at Stone Closure: From 8 June 2026 for repair works with an alternative route via Station Road and High Street.
• Coltsfoot Lane, Datchworth Restrictions: Starting 10 June 2026 with waiting restrictions during works.
• Various Roads in Ware, Cheshunt and Turnford Closures: Effective from 8 June 2026 for one day due to scheduled works.
• Rickneys Lane, Hertford Restrictions: From 8 June 2026 with no alternative route but access maintained where possible.
• B181 Station Road, Stanstead Abbotts Closure: From 5 June 2026 for remedial works with a detour via A414 Eastwick Road.
