Hertfordshire County Council has announced a series of temporary road closures across the county, scheduled to begin in July 2026. These closures are necessary to facilitate various remedial and utility service works.

Ruskin Close, Cheshunt The closure will affect Ruskin Close from its junction with Hammondstreet Road northwards for approximately 11 metres. The closure is set to commence on 10 July 2026 and will last for one day. No alternative route is available, but access will be maintained where possible.

Higgins Road, Cheshunt Scheduled to close from 15 July 2026, Higgins Road will be inaccessible from its junction with Great Stockwood Road to Littlestock Road. An alternative route will be provided via Great Stockwood Road, Argent Way, and Higgins Way.

B1038 (Unnamed Road), Buntingford This road will be closed from its junction with B1368 eastwards for approximately 48 metres starting on 13 July 2026. The works are expected to take five days. Alternative routes include B1368 and B1039 among others.

Cold Christmas Lane, Thundridge From 13 July 2026, Cold Christmas Lane will be closed from a point 300 metres south-west of Kettle Green Lane for approximately 250 metres. The closure is expected to last two days with an alternative route via local roads.

Cecil Road, Waltham Cross Cecil Road will be closed from its junction with B176 Crossbrook Street to Burleigh Road starting on 13 July 2026 for three days. An alternative route is available via B176 Crossbrook Street and other local roads.

Park Lane, Waltham Cross Set to close on 1 July 2026 for one day, Park Lane will be inaccessible from its junction with Swans Road south-eastwards. An alternative route is provided via Park Lane and surrounding roads.

Bus/Cycle Lane on B176 Turners Hill, Cheshunt The bus/cycle lane on the east side of B176 Turners Hill will be closed from 29 June 2026 for five days. No alternative route is available.

The Street, Furneux Pelham Closure of The Street from its junction with The Causeway north-westwards is scheduled from 29 June 2026 for five days. An alternative route includes The Causeway and other local roads.

Brookfield Lane, Aston Brookfield Lane will be closed from its junction with Ford Lane south-westwards starting on 30 June 2026 for one day. An alternative route is available via nearby roads.
