Plymouth City Council has announced a temporary restriction on through traffic, parking, waiting, loading, and unloading on several roads in Plymouth. This measure is being implemented under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14 to facilitate phased gas main works.
The affected roads include:
- Ford Park Road: Westbound from Ridge Park Avenue to Pentillie Road
- Dale Gardens: From Ford Park Road to number 55
- Stangray Avenue: From junction Ford Park Road to number 55
- Hillside Avenue: From Ford Park Road to number 59
- Gifford Place: Southbound from Gifford Terrace Road to Ford Park Road (parking suspensions both sides)
- College View: Southbound from Devon Terrace to Ford Park Road (parking suspensions both sides)
- Devon Terrace: Southbound from College View to Gifford Terrace Road (parking suspensions both sides)
- Beechwood Avenue: From Ford Park Road to Ford Park Road Lane
- Kingsley Road: From junction Ford Park Road to Ford Park Road Lane
These restrictions will be in place from 1 June 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months, concluding on 17 July 2026. The restrictions will be enforced 24 hours a day.
Residents and commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and consider alternative routes during this period. Those who have any concerns or believe they may be adversely impacted are encouraged to contact Wales and West Utilities at 0800 9122 999 for further information.
