Exeter City Council has announced several new planning applications that are now open for public comment. These developments affect the setting of listed buildings and the character or appearance of conservation areas in Exeter.

The applications include a proposal for the Dorothy Holman Youth Centre on Ferry Road, Topsham, which involves an extension to the north-east elevation, alterations including external landscaping, and a shipping container store (26/0364/FUL). Another application concerns 1 Mount Radford Crescent in Newtown & St Leonards, proposing a change of use from a commercial day nursery to a dwelling house, including new vehicular access and replacement windows and doors (26/0559/FUL).

Additionally, there is a listed building application for 2 Bicton Place in Heavitree, focusing on the repair and conservation of the front parapet with lime re-rendering (26/0619/LBC). At 19B New North Road in Duryard & St James, proposed works include repairs to timber sash windows, roof repairs, insulation upgrades, fire compartmentation improvements, and installation of a new ensuite and fire alarm system (26/0600/LBC).

Residents and interested parties can view these applications on the Exeter City Council website. Representations of objection, support, or comments can be submitted via the website or by emailing the assigned Case Officer. The deadline for submitting representations is 14 June 2026.
