Traffic Regulation Amendments

The Devon County Council (Exeter HATOC) (Traffic Regulation) Tranche 2 Amendment Order 2026 introduces several key changes:

• No Waiting At Any Time: This restriction will apply to various roads in Exeter, including Barley Farm Road, Bull Meadow Road, Burrator Drive, Chudleigh Road, Cleveland Street, Colleton Mews, Curie Mews, Ennerdale Way, Exhibition Way, Fairfield Road, Fleming Way, Grace Road West, King Arthurs Road, Marsh Green Road North, Merlin Crescent, Prospect Park, Regent Street, Shillingford Road, Simey Close, St Bernards Close, St Johns Road, St Matthews Close, Stoke Valley Road, Vaughan Road, Vice Close, Watson Place and Winchester Avenue.
• Revocation of No Waiting At Any Time: A specified length of Exhibition Way will see this restriction lifted.
• No Waiting Mon-Fri 8am-5pm: Implemented on specified lengths of Victoria Park Road.
• No Loading At Any Time: This will affect Lyndhurst Road, Manaton Close, Matford Park Road and Victoria Park Road.
• Limited Waiting: Various restrictions on Bowhay Lane and Langaton Lane.
• Pay & Display: New tariffs on Cowley Bridge Road with exemptions for certain permit holders.
• Residents Parking Zone E: Introduced on Raleigh Road.

Temporary Road Closures

Several temporary road closures have been announced under the ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14:

• Victoria Park Road: From July 27 for up to 18 months. An alternative route is provided via Wonford Road, Marlborough Road and Magdalen Road. This closure is necessary for a lead replacement scheme by South West Water.
• Maple Road: Closed from July 6 for up to 18 months with no alternative route available. This is also due to a lead replacement scheme by South West Water.
• King Street: Parking prohibition from July 6 to August 3 for gas mains replacement by Wales & West Utilities.
