Devon County Council has issued several temporary road traffic notices affecting various roads in Exeter. These restrictions are necessary to facilitate essential infrastructure works and improvements.

Maple Road, Exeter A temporary prohibition of through traffic and parking will be in place from 6 July 2026 to 21 August 2026. This restriction is required for a lead replacement scheme. There is no alternative route available. For more information, contact South West Water at 0344 346 2020.

May Street, Exeter From 15 June 2026 to 10 July 2026, May Street will be closed to through traffic and parking to address water quality issues through lead replacements. An alternative route is available via Elmside, Rosebery Road, Iddesleigh Road, and Old Tiverton Road. Contact South West Water for details.

Ennerdale Way & Exwick Road, Exeter These roads will be closed from 17 June 2026 to 22 July 2026 for gas mains replacement works. No alternative route is provided. For further information, contact Wales & West Utilities at 0800 9122999.

Queens Crescent, Exeter Parking restrictions will be enforced from 15 June 2026 to 6 July 2026 to replace old metallic gas mains with new plastic mains. Contact Wales & West Utilities for more details.

Jubilee Road, Exeter A temporary closure from 15 June 2026 to 17 July 2026 will facilitate a lead replacement scheme. Alternative routes include Park Road, Polsloe Road, and Pinhoe Road. Kier on behalf of South West Water can provide additional information.

King Street, Exeter Parking will be prohibited from 6 July 2026 to 3 August 2026 for the replacement of old metallic gas mains. Contact Wales & West Utilities for further details.

Venny Bridge, Exeter A temporary restriction from 6 June 2026 to 9 June 2026 is necessary to provide a new water service. There is no alternative route available. For more information, contact Kier on behalf of South West Water.
