The Department for Transport has announced a proposal under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 to make an Order authorising the stopping up of an irregular shaped area of Colin Campbell Court Carpark. This area is located to the west of Colin Campbell House in Plymouth. The proposed Order is intended to facilitate development, contingent upon planning permission being granted by Plymouth City Council.
The Secretary of State has issued a draft Order under Section 253 (1) of the Act. Interested parties can inspect copies of the draft Order and relevant plan at Plymouth Central Library, Maxell House, 167-171 Armada Way, Plymouth, PL1 1HZ during normal opening hours. These documents will be available for a period of 28 days starting from 6 July 2026.
Individuals wishing to object to the proposed Order must submit their reasons in writing to the Secretary of State. Correspondence should be directed to nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk or sent by post to the National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ. All objections must be received by midnight on 3 August 2026 and should reference SUO4660913.
It is important to note that any personal data and correspondence submitted may be shared with the applicant or agent for consideration. Those who do not wish their personal data to be forwarded should clearly state their reasons when submitting their correspondence.
